Welcome to the Class of 2022!

This year, the Smith Undergraduate Student Association (SUSA) is excited to welcome the Class of 2022 to the Smith School. For incoming freshmen, here are a few pieces of advice from the executive board:

  1. Use your professors as a resource.
    1. Your professors are the key to your success in Smith. Go to their office hours if you are having trouble understanding material. In addition, professors often have valuable professional experience that they can share with students. Connecting with professors in the field of your interest can lead to potential research and internship opportunities in the future.
  2. Get involved in the Smith community.
    1. Getting involved in SUSA-sponsored clubs is a great way to boost your resume and find a community of like-minded students. With twenty-six member organizations, SUSA has a club for most business interests. On the Clubs page, you can filter clubs to find the ones that you are interested in.
  3. Find time for yourself.
      1. College is stressful, and taking care of yourself is extremely important. Be sure to allot time for yourself to hang out with your friends, explore the area, or just relax. You have four years in college – don’t stress yourself out with it all in your first year!

Please use this website as a resource for events happening within Smith. The calendar will be updated frequently with events and opportunities within Smith, so please find the ones that pique your interest! We’re excited to see you in a couple of weeks!
