Smith in the City: New York City | November 5 and 6, 2020

This annual trip provides Smith students to interact with companies in a global business hub: New York City, New York. Smith students will visit a variety of companies on various tracks centered on a variety of business industries such as technology, consulting, marketing, et cetera. If you are interested in collaborating with SUSA and allowing Smith students to potentially learn from you, please contact the VP of Events, Alexia Ayuk at susa.events@rhsmith.umd.edu.

Smith in the City: Washington, DC | March 6, 2020

This annual trip allows all undergraduate students an equal opportunity for initial exposure to various corporate companies and business cultures. Students are able to explore a variety of fields that closely align with their career goals, meet and network with professionals and Smith alumni, and gain general insights into the life of a business professional. Smith students visited a variety of companies on six tracks: entertainment and media, entrepreneurship and technology, international business, marketing, real estate, and QUEST Honors Program. Companies included: Industry Drive, NPR, Sirius XM, Stardog, EVERFI, FiscalNote, US Commercial Service, IADB, Wipro, Twitter, PBJ Marketing, Ogilvy, WashReit, CBRE, JLL, Accenture/Fjord, IBM, and RASA.

Smith in the City: New York City | October 24 and 25, 2019

This annual trip provides Smith students to interact with companies in a global business hub: New York City, New York. Smith students visited a variety of companies on eight tracks: accounting, technology and analytics, consulting, supply chain, international business, finance, fashion, and marketing. Companies included: SEC, KPMG, Withum, Grant Thornton, Salesforce, Bloomberg, Yelp, Capital One, Ernst & Young, Navigant, Infosys, B&H Photo, SAP, quip, Facebook, United Nations Foundation, Colgate, Cuyana, Vera Bradley, Cover Girl, Guggenheim, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, 2U, Ogilvy, and Cogent World.
