The Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) functions as the liaison between students and the University Health Center, essentially the “student voice."

Terp Thon

Terp Thon is a student organization at UMD that works year-round to raise money and awareness for Children's National Health System in Washington D.C., our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Our efforts culminate in a 12-hour Dance Marathon every March, where we reveal our fundraising total for the year. We stand for 12 hours to represent the typical length of a nurse's shift at Children's National.

United Against Inequities in Disease
