The Smith Undergraduate Student Association has twelve executive board positions, each of which support the events, internal operations, and initiatives of the organization.

Outside of SUSA, she is a Resident Assistant, a community organizing intern at the Multicultural Involvement & Community Advocacy (MICA) office on campus, and a member of the Quality Enhancement Systems & Teams (QUEST) Honors program.

Bio: Angela is currently a sophomore at the Robert H. Smith School of Business. She is interested in entering the consulting field with a long-term orientation towards international development. Outside of SUSA, Angela enjoys being a part of MZZ Ventures and choreographing various styles of dance.

Srivats Narasimhan

Srivats is a sophomore studying Computer Science (Data Science specialization) and Finance as a dual-degree student. He is extremely interested in technology and its intersection with business, hoping to eventually work in product management. Outside of SUSA, Srivats is in the BSE Scholars Program, the QUEST Honors Program, and is also working on a joint research project alongside Professor Russ Wermers (through the Snider Undergraduate Research Experience). He likes listening to and making different types of music in his freetime, and supports all New York sports teams (don’t make any Giants or Knicks jokes around him).

Administrative Committee

Responsible for the logistics behind internal and external events. Manages attendance, minutes, points, and room reservation so that clubs can host events. Tracks events that clubs host to ensure that all clubs are meeting SUSA requirements. Oversees all human resources related work in SUSA, including anything related to member experience, growth, and retention.

Simran Kalsi

Ryan Tanzil

I consider myself to be a rather laid back person, but also someone who gets things done on efficiently and on time. During my free time I enjoy playing golf, hanging out with friends, watching sports, playing FIFA, following the Formula 1, and embracing technology whenever I can. I really enjoy listening to music, and especially like listening to entire albums from front to back. I also consider myself to be an extroverted introvert (not an introverted extrovert, there's a difference) At UMD, I am also a member of Terps Racing, SFG, and Club Golf. I strongly dislike the winter (I can't stand the snow) and would much rather live in single season climates like California (probably because I would be able to play golf year round!). Not convinced on what I want to do professionally, but I enjoy working with numbers and doing things task and goal oriented.

Community Committee

Responsible for planning and executing multiple community service events throughout the semester. This involves communicating and developing/maintaining partnerships with corporate sponsors, nonprofits, and other clubs to increase service awareness. Also leads a committee of underclassmen who assist in correspondence and execution.

Events Committee

Responsible for managing Smith-wide events that seek to bring together the Smith undergraduate community and connect students to career development and discovery opportunities. Collaborates with the Marketing committee to ensure consistent and effective marketing messaging for all events. Relays events budget needs to the Finance committee to ensure proper financing for all events.

Finance Committee

Responsible for SUSA’s annual budget and all other duties assigned by the President. Approves funding for Smith-sponsored events and activities. Helps eligible, Smith-sponsored organizations gain SGA recognition. Audits SUSA financial records at the end of each semester.

Chris Johnson

Chris is a junior finance and economics major. Outside of SUSA, he is involved with the professional business fraternity Phi Chi Theta , the SGA’s finance committee, and is an on-campus tutor for BMGT340. Outside of academics, he loves to play tennis, and kayak.

Jacob Pliner

I am a freshman Finance major and Real Estate Development minor and am part of the College Park Scholars Business, Society, and the Economy (BSE) living and learning program. Alongside my schoolwork, I participate in several extracurricular activities, including the Smith Finance Group and the D2 Men’s Club Ice Hockey Team. Along with sports, I love music and can play both the guitar and piano.

Fundraising Committee

Responsible for the coordination and execution of all SUSA-related fundraising activities and supports the independent fundraising initiatives of SUSA member organizations. Carries out all other duties assigned by the President. Works closely with the Finance committee and the Events committee.

Responsible for the planning and execution of various initiatives aimed to introduce new students to SUSA and Smith Involvement. Works closely with SUSA Executive Board, SUSA Club Executive Boards, OCS, and Undergraduate Program Office to implement effective programming that is unique and welcoming to all students.

Professional Affairs Committee

The Professional Affairs committee for the Smith Undergraduate Student Association is the primary officer responsible for enhancing the professional journey of all Smith students. It is responsible for creating and developing initiatives to better serve the Smith community professionally, and allowing students to successfully discover their career paths. The committee will serve as a liaison between the Office of Career Services, SUSA, Smith Administration, and the student body as a whole.

Strategy and Operations Committee

Oversees the strategic position of SUSA as the amplifier of student voice within the Smith community. Manages curriculum enhancement meetings with administration with the purpose of creating positive student-driven change within Smith. Responsible for updating and amending the SUSA Constitution and maintaining organizational efficiency within SUSA through internal audits. Works closely with the Academics committee and the Professional Affairs committee to push student-facing initiatives. Works closely with the President to support all facets of SUSA.

A freshman studying Information Systems and Finance, MeiJade is passionate about creating meaningful products to enhance and improve her customers' lives with. She discovered her love for business when, as the President of Youth & Government in high school, she achieved the revival of the club with a 900% increase in membership and financial aid for needy students. In her free time, MeiJade enjoys coding; studying history, politics, and international relations; and working on making herself a better person.
Outside of SUSA, MeiJade is the Freshman Student Representative for the College Park Scholars-Business, Society, and the Economy program.

Technology Committee

Responsible for maintaining and updating the SUSA website as well as collecting picture and video content from various SUSA club events. Carries out all other duties assigned by the President. Works closely with the Marketing committee. Works closely with SUSA clubs and the Smith School on technology-related projects.

Outside SUSA, Dhivyan is a TA for a course called ``How Do Innovators Think?``, an Impact Ambassador for the Center for Social Value Creation, and a member of a student-run pro-bono consulting group called MZZ Ventures. After graduation, Dhivyan aspires to be a consultant.
